SBC Assistant 1.2: SBC Group's assistant for technical questions, the store, and quotes<\/h1>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

There's an assistant in the bottom right corner of sbcgroup.com.mx. It has been available since October 2026. SBC Assistant 1.2<\/strong>It answers technical questions about electronic manufacturing (MSL and baking, tape & reel, ESD, reflow, harnesses), searches for prices in the SBC Store, and submits your quote request. It responds in seconds, at any time, and doesn't ask for any personal information to answer your question.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We designed it for process engineers, line technicians, purchasing professionals, and students. You don't have to be buying anything: if you have a technical question, just ask.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What changed compared to the previous version?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The first version worked, but not perfectly. We reviewed your conversations from the last few months and these were the shortcomings; here's what version 1.2 does:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  2. Ask the question as you would ask an engineer<\/strong>Include the part number, packaging type, standard, or quantity. The more specific the question, the more helpful the answer. Keep your answer brief; if you need more detail, ask for it.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  3. If you want a quote<\/strong>, Tell them what you need. They'll ask what the team requires and, for follow-up, your name and whether you prefer to be contacted by email or phone. You'll receive a reference number.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    A real query that came in via chat, and a problem we've encountered several times on the factory floor. The assistant orders the causes by probability using its reference standard (IPC-1601<\/strong> for the PCB, IPC\/JEDEC J-STD-033<\/strong> for the components, J-STD-020<\/strong> (for the peak), says what to measure in the oven and how to narrow down the cause with microsection or C-SAM.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
